It has worked especially well in 270s and 280s wearing 22" or shorter barrels, usually giving more velocity than H4831 in the ones Ive chronographed. Ive also used it behind 180 Nosler Part. in the 30-06. I had h4831 for my 7 mag and 300 win mag and I just switch to imr4831. there are far more options with the imr4831. as for bullet sizes. plus it seems the imr4831 is closer to the max for accuracy as for temp var. stay away from reloader. everyone I talk to that uses it there is a big difference.
