So … WebIf you can get DXVK working with GPL or async, you should be able to skip that slow period. Async just moves ahead with rendering regardless of if the shaders are finished, which may make it sketchy with online play. GPL should give a windows-like experience, though is a bleeding-bleeding edge thing.

There are also some games that don't work no matter what unfortunately: GTA 5 and Far Cry 4 for example. Also: DXVK has enforced Vsync. You can disable it in the config file you have to create.
