Stage 1, all three are blowing oil out of the Air cleaner. All three have K & N - but also did this with the paper filter. WebNov 23, 2007 · Blowby is oil making it past the rings in the cylinders. If you have that, the oil comes out the crankcase vent at the PCV valve. Oil out the head breather ports from oil pooling in the heads has nothing to do with the rings. The y-shaped pipe on the front of the intercooler is the thing that is connected to the head breather vents. WebJan 19, 2006 · from Columbus, Ohio. I run an early 70's 350 small block chevy and am having a problem of oil out throught the valve cover breather. The other valve cover holds the PVC valve which i have cleaned and found unobstructed. Theres not really any oil that will help much with blowby, if the rings arnt sealing there there is nothing that is going to stand up again the pressures of the combustion cycle. This is not the case with my LB7 - it is vented straight to the atmosphere - no valve, no seals, the crankcase is open to the atmosphere.
